Mark Shary, Board Chairman –
An established entrepreneur and technology leader, Mark is passionate about growth enterprises with great people and focused missions. Before joining Updox, he served as founder and CEO of Hublink and chief strategy officer for its successor, Healthcare.com. Cloverleaf, the technology pioneered by Hublink and Healthcare.com, continues to be one of the most widely used, mission critical applications in health care. These organizations led the networking movement in hospitals and IDNs. Today, Infor Cloverleaf has thousands of implementations worldwide and is a key component of networked health care environments everywhere. Dedicated to fostering innovation, Mark serves on the board of several market-leading technology enterprises, including hc1.com Inc., (formerly Bostech Corporation) and TechColumbus.
Tim ChapmanAn experienced strategist, Tim brings to Updox more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience and considerable knowledge across industries, including sales, IT, business development, planning, customer service and supply chain/purchasing. He currently serves as an independent consultant to public, non-profit, private institutions and private equity firms – mainly within healthcare. This role allowed him to collect expertise and best practice insight from leading healthcare companies across the nation. Prior to consulting, Tim was director/senior partner at McKinsey & Company, a leading global management-consulting firm, leading the firm’s healthcare practice and working with health systems on strategy, operational and organizational issues. Following McKinsey, Tim was president of STERIS’s healthcare segment.
Ryan Engle –
A principal at TT Capital Partners, Ryan has more than 15 years of investing and transaction experience across several industries, including healthcare. Ryan has extensive experience actively working with portfolio company management teams and leading transactions both as an advisor and an investor. He previously worked in private equity, investment banking and at a global corporation. Most recently, he was a corporate development group leader at Cargill. His experience also includes working in private equity for Lindsay Goldberg and Norwest Mezzanine Partners, and in investment banking with Morgan Stanley. Ryan holds degrees from University of Notre Dame and Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Kevin Scalia –
Kevin Scalia is executive vice president of Corporate Development for Netsmart, the leading provider of software solutions for behavioral and public health organizations. Kevin’s leadership includes strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, business development, marketing, and product management. Prior to Netsmart, Scalia served as president and chief operating officer of a Long Island, N.Y.- based professional services firm that provided enterprise applications to mid-size and Fortune 500 companies, and as chairman and chief executive officer for a manufacturer of supercomputers, security equipment and medical imaging equipment. He served as advisor to President George W. Bush, representing small business on issues related to defense transformation. Kevin is a founding member of the Long Island Software and Technology Network and a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board, State University of New York at Stony Brook. He holds degrees from Rochester Institute of Technology and Polytechnic University.
Michael Morgan –
Updox CEO Michael Morgan has a successful track record in high-growth healthcare technology organizations and helping organizations use technology to transform the way care is delivered. Mike provides data-driven leadership and aggressive growth orientation with deep experience across marketing, product management, business development and operational disciplines. Prior to Updox, Mike was senior vice president of Marketing for Netsmart, an electronic health record provider, which grew to become the dominant leader in the behavioral health market.
