Practice Administrators and Industry Experts Share How Meaningful Use’s Direct Secure Messaging and Patient Portal Tools Can Improve Practice Relationships and Patient Engagement
Dublin, Ohio, May 30, 2014 – Updox, the industry leader for physician connectivity and CRM solutions for health care, announced a three-part Summer Webinar Series, “Leveraging Meaningful Use Requirements Into CRM Strategies: How Interoperability Tools Can Improve Your Practice’s Bottom Line and Help You Stay Independent.” The free series addresses challenges that practices face in meeting Meaningful Use’s interoperability requirements from a practice’s perspective, tips and tricks to navigate Stage 2 and 3 Meaningful Use interoperability requirements, how to do more with Direct secure messaging and patient communications tools to leverage a CRM strategy that maximizes all of a practice’s relationships with patients and other providers.
Of the 30 different Meaningful Use requirements, three specifically relate to interoperability, patient communications and engagement. To meet these requirements, it’s not enough to implement Direct Secure messaging and a patient portal. Achieving Meaningful Use means practices must have 50% of patients registered on the portal and 5% need to be actively using the technology. Now that health care practices have the communications tools such as messaging and portals in place, they must engage patients to use them. Once that relationship is established, it opens up a floodgate of opportunities that can grow the practice, expand services, increase referrals and build profits.
“While Meaningful Use has been incredibly beneficial for hospitals and health care providers, it has also been challenging to navigate.
